The Napa Pedal Crusher wasn't born in a boardroom, but rather from a shared vision.  Let’s rewind to the birth of Barnhouse…Adam, a seasoned reporter who'd traded war zones for a quieter life, and Barnes, his former cameraman, who'd covered countless stories together, were determined to create a new coffee house/pub in Napa.  The shop needed a manager…introducing Melo, a charismatic young man with a passion for life who was seeking new opportunities after feeling unfulfilled at his previous role at Frog's Leap Winery.  As Barnhouse became the new hit in Downtown Napa, Barnes, with his newly found entrepreneurial spirit and love for unique experiences, who first suggested the idea of a party bike. The concept of a pedal-powered vehicle that could transport groups of people to bars and tasting rooms while enjoying the sights and sounds of Downtown Napa resonated with both Melo and Adam. And so, the unlikely crew – the seasoned reporter, the intrepid photographer turned brilliant graphic illustrator, and the charismatic host – embarked on their latest adventure…The Napa Pedal Crusher, a testament to their friendship, their shared passion for Napa, and their belief in creating unforgettable experiences. After ‘Research and Development’ trips and countless beers at local watering holes, Barnes and Melo developed a business model that is now the Pedal Crusher.

Melo now juggles helping Barnes manage Barnhouse Napa, cheering on his beloved husky Robin, spending time with his girlfriend and honing his soccer skills with a local league. Adam continues to juggle family life, coach his kids, run a winery and a Top Rated tasting room, Housley Napa and Barnes, ever the adventurer, continues to find inspiration in the beauty of Napa Valley, while channeling his creative energy into new projects alongs side his Border Collie, Leaf.
Once the NPSL soccer season kicks off, you'll find Barnes, Melo, and Adam cheering on the Napa Valley 1839 FC, their voices adding to the passionate roar of the crowd.
